The Nikon D40x Digital SLR Camera has received a lot of fame lately, and apparantly for good reason. Consumer Reports recently rated this bad boy at number one in the SLR camera category. Here are a few of the highlights of our Nikon D40x review:
The D40x is ideal for someone who is interested in DSLR photography, but does not have a lot of knowledge regarding the technology. The Nikon D40X makes an easy introduction into DSLR photography without overbearing the user with too much technology at once. The Nikon D40x Digital SLR Camera has a nice large, bright LCD screen making shooting in bright light a breeze while giving vibrant picture reviews after a photo is taken. Aside from the great photo capturing abilities the Nikon comes with a long lasting Lithium battery that charges quickly for those on the fly moments.
Sensors in DSLR cameras are smaller than 35 mm so the actual area that is covered is much smaller, however you can review the picture adjustments and do thousands of changes before printing. You also have a great deal of control over flash power which makes things much easier. In addition to the low level of skill needed for operation, there is an equally low price tag to match making this already good buy a best buy.
The one con that I noticed with the D40x is that there is a small number of compatible auto focus lenses. A compatible lens will need to have its own motor but if you posses the skills to manually focus, you can attack almost any Nikon compatible lens. Also not great for taking pictures of high-action sports.
